Although he would rather be sipping an ice cream soda, Mr. Putter and his cat Tabby attend a cooking class with Mrs. Teaberry and her dog Zeke, where they learn one hundred ways to cook beans.
Mr. Putter's neighbor, Mrs. Teaberry, decides that they should join a band, but finding the right one isn't as easy as it sounds--for them or their pets.
When Mr. Putter and Tabby take Mrs. Teaberry to the Conservatory for her birthday, Zeke tries his best to stay out of trouble, but one of the trees is irresistible.
